As a part of the Harvard Square Book Circle, on Tuesday May 31st the book club will meet to converse about Lorrie Moore’s first novel, Anagrams.

Anagrams is a tale of two close friends, Gerard and Benna, who continuously seek to express their feelings for each other. They live next door to each other, with just a layer of drywall separating the two, Gerard uses this to his advantage, where he sits in his bathtub just yearning to hear the toilet flush from Benna’s side of the wall. Lorrie Moore keeps the reader surprised right to the very end, but you can talk about that at the Harvard Square Book Circle.

These monthly book discussions usually occur on the last Monday of the month, but because of Memorial Day, May’s meeting will take place this Tuesday. Books are either chosen by the Harvard Book Store, suggested by one of its members, or both. The event requires no registration, and admission is free. The event is this Tuesday, May 31st at 7:00 p.m. The Harvard Book Store is located at 1256 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge.
