Fast becoming a Boston holiday tradition is Artful Holidays at the Gardner, an event that features holiday music and festive fare in the one of a kind atmosphere that the Gardner Museum offers its patrons. Artful Holidays features a two-day celebration that offers fun for all ages.

First up on Saturday, December 5 from 7:00–9:00 is a nighttime celebration for adults. Featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the cloisters, a performance by A Far Cry (the Gardner’s newest chamber orchestra in residence) in the Tapestry Room and holiday brass and caroling around the poinsettia-laden courtyard (a sight that is so luminescent it has to be seen to be believed), the celebration looks to be a highlight of the holiday season. Of course, party-goers are also invited to explore the museum’s galleries and artwork.

On Sunday, December 6 from 4:30–6:30 the holiday celebrations continue as the whole family in invited to attend Artful Holidays at the Gardner. Holiday music, a marionette performance, and festive fare will be accompanied by other activities especially designed for children 10 and under. Tickets for both events must be reserved and are available to non-members with the purchase of a new membership. Adult prices are $125 and child prices are $50. To reserve tickets please visit www.gardnermuseum.org or contact the Office of Special Events at (617) 391-3949.
