On December 1, 2000 Stoneham Theatre re-opened its doors with a classic holiday tale: A Christmas Carol. This holiday season, the Stoneham will celebrate its tenth anniversary in style as it restages the timeless tale. “Returning to the original story that opened our doors is a very special experience for me personally and one that makes me reflect on ten years of live theatre in our beautiful home,” says Weylin Symes, Producing Artistic Director of Stoneham Theatre. “What a perfect story to open our doors with and to revisit once again — a story full of redemption and hope and community. I’m proud to bring this heartwarming tale back to our stage and to the extended family that is our audience,” says Symes.

Starring in the anniversary restaging are Leigh Barrett as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Nigel Gore as Ebenezer Scrooge, and Gerard Slattery as the Ghost of Christmas Present; the show is adapted and directed by Diego Arciniegas. A Christmas Carol runs November 27–December 27. The Stoneham Theater will celebrate its tenth anniversary before the December 19th performance with a reception including hors d’oeuvres, gifts and holiday merriment.
