Austrian pianist Till Fellner has performed with many of the world’s most famous orchestras and has appeared in major concert halls and at important festivals all over the world.

He has been critically praised for his performances of the standard Baroque, classical and romantic repertoire of music by Schumann, J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Franz Liszt, and Schubert, as well as rarities such as the piano sonata of Julius Reubke. He also performs music of the 2nd Viennese School of Arnold Schoenberg, Alban Berg and Anton Webern and the contemporary classical music of Heinz Holliger, György Kurtág, Thomas Larcher, and Harrison Birtwistle, including some premieres.

In October 2008, Fellner launched a cycle of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas in a series of seven recitals. This past season he performed as soloist with the Montreal Symphony, the Hallé Orchestra, and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. In spring of 2009 he and Adrian Brendel and the baritone Roderick Williams gave the world premiere performance of Bowstrike-Sequence by Harrison Birtwistle. Fellner returns to The Boston Conservatory to perform the visionary last three Sonatas.

The Boston Conservatory presents Till Fellner, as part of its popular Piano Masters series, a unique offering of internationally renowned pianists in solo engagements. The performance of all-Beethoven works takes place at The Boston Conservatory. General admission tickets are $15, $10 for seniors, and free for all students with valid ID.
