The Pasadena Symphony and POPS celebrate their season-opening concert and Pasadena’s 125th anniversary with a spectacular multi-media display of music, video, and of course fireworks.
Pasadena and the symphony will be welcoming Guest Conductor Michael Krajewski in the incredible outdoor acoustical shadow of the Rose Bowl stadium with their performance, Fireworks POPS Spectacular. Krajewski is known for his humor and entertaining programs, he is the Principal Conductor of the Houston, Atlanta, and Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.
To further the profoundness of this presentation, Peabody-winning and Emmy nominated Elliott Forrest will be producing the multi-media arrangement, including video screens with live action from three different camera angles, as well as a spectacular concluding display of fireworks set to the music.
The Quasquicentennial presentation will honor not only the beauty of the city, but also its charming history, featuring songs such as 1812 Overture, America the Beautiful, Everything’s Coming Up Roses, Rocking with the Beach Boys, and more.
The Pasadena Symphony was founded in 1928 and built POPS into their name in 2007. Since their incorporation, the Pasadena Symphony and POPS have been seen in a widespread array of creative projects in the film, television, and recording industries. They are a company of Southern California’s most talented and sought after musicians, and are amongst the most heard musicians in the world.
