Ten Things We Liked About Last Night’s Rocky Horror Episode of Glee
And one thing we didn’t (hint: it’s a certain Spanish teacher)

Things we learned last nigh on Glee: mostly, Will Schuester is borderline creepy. But before we get to that, let’s talk about what we liked about the episode.

1. Beginning the episode with the lips (with better teeth, making John Stamos proud)

2. Aw

3. Before becoming Meat Loaf, the singer went by his real name: Michael Lee Aday. Hence, Meat Loaf Aday.

4. Unitarian Chimp Weddings

5. Finn’s heart

6. John Stamos dancing with Mike Chang. Also: Stamos dancing with random saxophone player.

7. Mercedes as Dr. Frankenfurter

8. Finn and Rachel as Brad and Janet. Perfect.

9. Will’s O-face

10. Kurt as Riff-Raff, madness taking its toll. The entire “Time Warp” performance was pretty great.
And what we didn’t like:

What happened to you, Mr. Schuester?
Actually, the episode as quality TV wasn’t, well, quality. The message Will makes in his speech is all over the place, leading me to wonder whether Ryan Murphy, who wrote the episode, is ultimately for Rocky Horror. Plus, his interactions with Emma throughout are kinda creepy—and if Finn was almost suspended because of walking around in his underwear, what would people have thought of Will and Emma’s pseudo-sex scene while singing “Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me”? But as a musical TV show, though, where we don’t care about plot developments, it succeeds. The performances were mostly spot on, although Emma really shouldn’t sing for some time now). They should have performed “Rose Tint My World,” though.
