It sounds weird to us, too
Tonight and tomorrow, David Sedaris reads from his latest collection of works, Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary, at a most un-David Sedaris like of places: the Apollo Theater. Yes, the venue that made stars outs of Michael Jackson, James Brown and Buddy Holly will now feature a man who just wrote a book about animals talking to one another, like “The Parrot and the Potbellied Pig.” We’re not judging, as we’re fans of both Sedaris and the Apollo; we just can’t wait to see if the Sandman can “hook” the author off the stage if he bombs?
