From last year’s New York Taste

It’s been a great few months for food and drink festivals, hasn’t it? Between Le Grand Fooding, New York Craft Beer Week and the Wine and Food Festival, it’s been a good run for foodies in the five boroughs. Things get even better with the 12th annual New York Taste, held TONIGHT from 7-9 p.m. at Skylight (275 Hudson St.)
Presented by New York and presided over by the magazine’s culinary editor, Gillian Duffy, Taste is a one-night-only event that offers “guests the unique opportunity to sample an irresistible array of dishes from over 40 restaurants and interact with well renowned chefs and mixologists.”
Just a few of the restaurants involved include: Amnisa (Chef Anita Lo), BLT Fish (David Lugo), Colichio & Sons (Damon Wise), Hill Country Kitchen (Elizabeth Karmel), I Trulli (Patti Jackson), Locanda Verde (Andrew Carmellini) and The Meatball Shop (Daniel Holzman).
Duffy personally chose the restaurants involved and attendees are encouraged to speak to the chefs making their favorite dishes, making Taste one of the more personal New York-based food events.
Tickets, which cost $175 General Admission/$250 VIP, are mostly sold out—except for limited ticketing available at the door. For more information, please click here. You must be 21+ to enter. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to City Harvest, the world’s first food rescue organization.
