The Dandy Warhols almost seem for another time. When I looked at their discography, I was shocked to see that their first album, Dandys Rule, OK?, came out in 1995. Musically speaking, 15 years is a relatively long time (you know what else came out in 1995? Jagged Little Pill), but I would have been less surprised to read that it came out in 1985.
If you’ve been around for a decade-and-a-half, you’re allowed to release a compilation album (unlike, say, matchbox twenty, who released one after only three albums), which is what the Dandy Warhols have done with The Capitol Years: 1995-2007. Tonight at the Knitting Factory, they’re touring in support of the album, basically meaning you’ll get to hear all the hits. Which is really all you want from concert, anyways.
