Nate Lowman, renowned New York City based artist, will be installing a mural for the DETAILS GUILD project with 10 teens who participate in Free Arts NYC art mentoring programs for at-risk youth.

Lowman first started gaining attention in 2005 with his participation in the collaborative Museum of Modern Art/P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center show.

Lowman is prepping his installation Saturday with a private workshop for the teens in Lowman’s Tribeca loft where they will assist the artist in creating letters that spell out “THIS NEIGHBORHOOD HAS CHANGED.” On Saturday, the teens will assist Nate installing the letters on the DETAILS GUILD wall.

In addition to the mural, Lowman will create a limited edition print that will be sold on www.thedetailsguild.com. All proceeds will go to Free Arts NYC.

The “Low-Down” – Free Arts NYC provides under-served children and families with a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential.

The DETAILS GUILD is dedicated to the support, development and promotion of the creative arts, and their connection with the greater community.
