Feinstein Sings Sinatra

All Video

All eyes are welcome to honor ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ in a night that is sure to entertain those who allot it a chance.  What better way to celebrate Frank Sinatra’s timeless music than to listen to the reinterpretation of his music by a multi-platinum selling performer who is quite familiar with Grammy nominations—Michael Feinstein.

Feinstein is no stranger to the world of performance, and his repertoire is easily praised; from serving on the Library of Congress’ National Recording Preservation Board, to Artistic Director of the Palladium Center for the Performing Arts.  He brings his musical background to the stage at his very own nightclub known as Feinstein’s at Loews Regency, with performances from artists that provide music of the genres that he knows all too well.  He has been deemed “The Ambassador of the Great American Songbook,” which contains a collection of music from a timestamp of history that has plagued society with its impeccable and irrevocable quality.  His careful, subjective take on music led him to what has become known as “The Sinatra Project,” and he is set to perform it with a brilliant group of accompanists known as the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra whom will be conducted by Sam Kriger.

Sam Kriger’s scope of musical credits and titles are profound; he has worked with Florence Henderson and Bernadette Peters, served as the vocal coach for well known celebrities as Danny DeVito, Mel Gibson and Brandy, and has theatre credits with shows including A Chorus Line, Guys and Dolls and Show Boat.  Kriger will accompany the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra whose mission is to bring community engagement opportunities to seven different regional venues throughout the state.  They are under the direction of Music Director Jacques Lacombe and they are a committed group of talented performers dedicated to musical merit and distinction.

This specific concert will wrap up the NJSO’s “POPS” series, and will take place at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ.  Whether it is to witness a genius performance of matched vocal and instrumental quality or simply to recollect some of the greatest classic American music that will continue to resurface for an ineffable amount of time forthcoming, it will certainly be a unique and unforgettable experience that will pay tribute to one of the best.

…let’s fly, let’s fly away…
