New World Stages Presents Comedic, High-flying, Martial Arts, Performance

Using martial arts, acrobatics and comedy, JUMP tells the story of an average Korean family with un-average skills—they’re all martial arts experts. The family spends their time challenging each other in fights, where they show off their incredible Taekwondo, Taekkyon and gymnastic skills.
One night, two burglars break into the family’s house. The first burglar is an angry man while the second burglar is a clumsy idiot. When the family catches the burglars in their house, a fight using acrobatics and martial arts takes place between the seven family members and the two burglars.
From London to Japan, JUMP has spent the last six years touring around the world. JUMP has been seen by over three million people worldwide and has won awards such as the “Grand Prize Award for Drama & Musical” by the Korean National Assembly. Cast members include, gymnasts, a member of a Korean National Taekwondo team, and professional student people.
The executive producer, Show & Arts USA, LLC., goal is to promote culture between the United States and Asia by showing international productions. In 2008, they presented Break Out, an “extreme dance comedy.” Show & Arts USA, is also working with the production company Yegman, Inc. Yegman, Inc., is a production company from Korea and is one of the first specializing in Comic Martial Arts Performances. Partners for this show include NYC Kids Tours, Princeton Academy of Martial Arts, and West Side Taekwondo.
