Witness Catch .45
The CATCH Crew Heads to Abrons Arts Center
| | More
Some call it the performance that couldn’t be stopped. An unstoppable train that is heading straight towards the audience? Does that sound frightening, or exhilarating? In any case, Catch .45, playing at the Abrons Art Center from June 23-June 25, is something to be witnessed.
The CATCH crew groups up with the artist Myles Kane and a downtown ragtag posse LIVE! for three nights of unstoppable, power (powder?) packed performances. Does that sound unbelievable? Does that entice your powder (power?) curiosity? You bet it does.
CATCH and Kane dug deep into the experimental heart of the Playhouse’s early history. What they have found are performance fragments and artifacts, resurrected by these clever craftspersons to astonish, amaze, astound, stupefy, and awe the Manhattan “can’t be bothereds.” Kane himself has come up with a serving of video-graphic “victuals” that are sure to delight. Can you feel the potential? Are you going to be able to handle it?
Some of you reading might tell yourselves “something could stop me from coming to this event, and I might forever regret it and lose countless hours of sleep and happiness.” It can be confirmed that this is true. Don’t let the “I missed Catch .45” syndrome happen to you. There is, as of now, no cure.
