Jet Setter

Jet Setting in Brooklyn
The Northeast Kingdom glows amidst a sea of decrepit industry, forging down the L line into territory previously forgotten by Manhattan. Here the restaurant and cocktail lounge named after the most sparsely populated region in Northern Vermont dishes out cuisine and decor to match the backwoods name. Like a rural farmer, the Northeast Kingdom’s menu is extremely aware of the seasons, which bodes well for cocktails on a hot summer night. The drink they call Jet Setter is exemplary for its refreshing qualities: cucumber infused vodka mixed with dry vermouth, lime, a salted rim and fresh cucumber slices can chill you off as much as it can stimulate your mood. Reminiscent of fireflies and freshly picked vegetables during a Northern Vermont picnic.

Ginger Jane

2oz Sailor Jerry Rum, 1oz St.Germain, 1/2oz of fresh lemon juice, 1oz of Reeds Ginger Beer, shaken and served over ice in a rocks glass and garnished with a candy ginger skewer.
