When listening to your favorite live album, whether it be Live at the Apollo or Sinatra at the Sands, do you ever think to yourself, “I wish I could have been in that audience”? Well, here’s your chance.
On July 30 and 31, Harry Connick, Jr., one of the best-selling male artists of all-time, will have his “Harry Connick, Jr. in Concert on Broadway” recorded live at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52nd St.). The show, presented by James L. Nederlander and Broadway Across America, has received rave reviews from the New York Times and Variety and will also be filmed for an eventual DVD release.
In “Concert on Broadway,” Connick, Jr. sings both originals and standards and plays the piano, and he also arranged and composed everything. Basically, there’s nothing the man can’t do, which is probably why he’s won multiple Grammy Awards and sold over 25 million albums.
Both performances begin at 8 p.m. and tickets, which range from $51.50-$136.50, can be purchased here.
