Ever have a story that you’re dying to tell, but you just can’t? Maybe you did something embarrassing, or maybe you engaged in something you wouldn’t want your mother to found out but it’s too good of a tale not to tell? If so, Kevin Allison and RISK! are here for you.
RISK! is a live stage show and audio podcast where people tell true stories they never thought they’d dare to tell in public, created by Kevin Allison of The State fame. Although RISK! has featured an impressive array of comedians like Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black and Janeane Garofalo, us regular folk can join the stage show and podcast, too.
Tonight at the Peoples Improv Theater (154 W. 29th St.), Allison hosts a “Risk! Storyslam” where anyone can put their name in a hat and, if selected, tell a five-minute tale. To check out the kind of stories people tell, visit Zug.com, where readers respond to Allison’s accounts with similarly themed accounts of their own.
The free show starts at 6 p.m. Click here for more information.
