Ah, Glenn Beck, you never ending source of amusement you. Very few SERIOUS writers could pen something as sincere and ridiculous as your recent novel, The Overton Window, of which the Washington Post had this to say: “Thrillers often are marred by laughable prose, but few have stumbled along with language as silly as this one.”
Comedian Joe Mande, the man behind Look At This Fucking Hipster, loved the book so much that he wrote a screenplay for it, and invited some of his friends along to help out, including Kristen Schaal, Noah Garfinkel, Will Hines, Gabe Delahaye, Chris Gethard, John Mulaney, Hannibal Buress and John Gemberling.
Tonight at UCB, Mande and Co. will read the Overton Window script to the delight of the audience—and to the chagrin of those waiting for The Christmas Sweater: Electric Boogaloo. The Oscar-worthy reading begins at 9:30 p.m. and the $5 tickets can be purchased here.
The event poster reminded me of my now favorite movie poster:

Beautiful, no?
