The Landmark Sunshine Cinema is set to show one of the most eagerly anticipated horror films in years. The film, which has been described as genre bending and psychologically terrifying, is not your typical horror film. Garnering buzz since it made the rounds with critics, Dead Girl is the story of youthful exuberance, curiosity and alienation.

Centering on Rickie (Shiloh Fernandez) and JT (Noah Segan), two high school friends and school outsiders, the plot follows their discovery of a gruesome scene. While skipping school the two decide to explore an abandoned building where they find a girl chained to a table and wrapped in plastic. The two boys have very different reactions to the unearthing and the meat of the story takes place after the initial finding, when both boys must navigate through their still-forming sense of right and wrong to decide what to do. The film—one part horror/suspense, one part coming-of-age-tale—forces the audience to examine the morality of humanity, all while making them jump out their seats in fright.

The film will premiere with midnight showings July 24 and 25 and will continue to play at Landmark Sunshine Cinema. For more details and ticket information, visit landmarktheatres.com.
