Franzen Frenzy Hits New York

I once waited in line at the Union Square Barnes & Noble for seven hours to get a midnight copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. That’ll be nothing compared to tomorrow’s event: Jonathan Franzen, who last week finally released Freedom, the follow-up to The Corrections, will be making his first book-tour appearance in NYC at the Union Square branch of Barnes & Noble.

The event officially begins at 7 p.m., but, yeah, get there early. Very early. We’ll do our best to take photos and report live from the scene tomorrow—once we decide if we like Freedom or not. More information can be found here.
