With Christmas around the corner a chorus of heavenly voices can be heard in A Chanticleer Christmas presented at the South Orange Performing Arts Center on Sunday, November 29th. The concert, featuring the 12–piece male chorus The Chanticleers—widely regarded as one of the world’s best choirs––will feature tradition, history and modern hits to create a special evening of Christmas spirit sure to delight the entire family.
The Chanticleers have built a reputation through performance of being one of the leading male choruses. Their unique blend of contemporary and classic style and music make them just as at home singing hymnals as recent pop offerings—and they are as succinct in tone, pitch and blend in any style they sing. A Chanticleer concert is simply mesmerizing, displaying the perfection of human vocal efforts.
This “orchestra of voices” is sure to include songs from their 2007 release Let it Snow, which spent twelve weeks on the Billboard charts during the holiday season of that year. Each year the Chanticleers performs sold old holiday concerts in the city that many have trouble finding tickets to, but this year’s performance at the South Orange Performing Arts Center allows those in and around the city to beat the rush and experience one of New York’s most popular holiday traditions.
