In our September issue, we told you about the third annual Food Network New York Wine and Food Festival, presented by Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure magazines. Below are some of the events that you can still purchase tickets for. For a full list of events, please click here.

Decadent White Truffle Dine-Around
October 7, 7 p.m.
Osteria Morini (218 Lafayette St.)

One lucky group of diners will visit four of the city’s finest eateries (Osteria Morini, Convivio, Alto and Marea), where they will enjoy a white truffle course and wine pairing. Hosted by Chef Michael White, a multiple Michelin Star winner in 2009 and 2010. $500

Has the Word “Local” Lost All Meaning?
October 8, 1-2:30 p.m.
Keens Steakhouse (72 W. 36th St.)

A panel consisting of Dan Barber, Tom Colicchio, Alex Guarnaschelli, Daniel Humm and Patrick Martins will discuss whether “local” means anything anymore. Moderated by Ryan D’Agostino, food editor of Esquire. $20

Cooking Channel’s Meatpacking Uncorked
October 8, 6-9 p.m.
Throughout Meatpacking District (enter at 10th Avenue and West 15th Street)

A district-wide wine and food tasting where you can meet your favorite Cooking Channel chefs. There will also be street performers providing music. Just a few of the restaurant and food vendor participants include Corsino, The Collective and Wafels & Dinges. $65

A Sushi and Karaoke Soiree
October 8, 11 p.m.
Harvard Club (27 W. 44th St.)

Iron Chef Morimoto, along with some of the city’s top chefs, will combine an evening of delicious sushi with amateur vocals. Make sure to sing “Big in Japan.” $150

The Sommelier Showdown
October 9, 12 p.m.
Del Posto (85 10th Ave.)

Consider yourself a wine connoisseur? Put your supposed skills to the test against 12 of the country’s top wine experts, including Joe Campanale (dell’anima), Rajat Parr (RN74), Shelley Lindgren (A16 and SPQR), Michael Madrigale (Bar Boulud), Jordan Salcito (Nick and Toni’s) and David Lynch (Quince). The winner will receive the title of America’s Best Blind Palate, DinePrivate Tastevin trophy and a trip for two to the 2011 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, with all-inclusive passes, airfare and a hotel room. $200

The Oyster Bash
October 9, 12-2 p.m.
The Standard, New York (848 Washington St.)

Held in the new hotel The Standard, New York, eight of New York’s finest seafood chefs will serve oysters, showing you the difference between a prepared oyster and one in the raw. There will also be french fries and cocktails. The event is hosted by The Lobster Place. $100
