Can’t wait until the season premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on September 16 for some Philly-based jokes? Yeah, I hear you. That town really needs to be taken down a notch (note: this is coming from a New York Mets fan). Tonight at Comix, “It’s Always Funny in Philadelphia” will feature some of the finest comedians to come from the Land of Cheese Steaks, including Keith Robinson (The Wanda Sykes Show), Joe DeRosa (Bored to Death) and Mike Pomranz (writer for Tosh.0).

Okay, since they’re all from Philly, they may not make fun of their city. I took it upon myself to Google “jokes about Philadelphia” and the first one that comes up is, “You Must Be from Philadelphia If… you realize that your favorite desert is wooder ice (It comes in churry, strawburry, and other assorted flavors).”

So true.

Tickets for tonight’s event, which begins at 7:30 p.m., can be purchased here.
