What do I wear? How do I wear it? These questions are often heard by Dawn Del Russo, fashion stylist and author of 101 Glam Girl Ways to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle. Dawn is the owner of BellaDawn.com and someone whose keen sense of fashion and style has been featured in national magazines such as InStyle, Life & Style Weekly, Us Weekly, and Real Simple Life.
I had the chance to chat with Dawn about her new book full of amazing tips for fellow fashionistas.
How did you get the idea for your 101 Glam Girl Ways to an Ultra Chick Lifestyle?
I have always wanted to do a book. This book started two years ago with a blog entry of 10 tips that came from 10 questions that I always got from clients. Soon 10 tips turned to 25 tips and my publicists asked me, “Why don’t you write a book?”
What makes it unique from other fashion books that are out there?
It’s relatable and it’s simple! It’s so easy and you can carry it in your purse any where you go. The book has pictures and tells you how to put things together without a ton of descriptions. It’s like having a mini stylist with you at all times.
Why must every girl have 101 Glam Girl Ways to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle?
The book is a go to guide for any moment in your life. It helps to know how to rework things that you already have. Women from young to old can benefit from that because it can save you money.
What is your favorite tip?
Gosh, that is a tough one! For me it would be to wear diamond studs because you can accessorize around them easily. Also, tip #101 which is “Believe you can do anything!” I am such a strong believer in that and I use it in my life every single day.
This book would be a great gift for any girl in your life looking for simple, fast tips to spruce up what’s in her closet. Who wouldn’t want a mini stylist at their finger tips at all times?
