We knew Jay-Z and Eminem’s shows at Yankee Stadium were going to be good, but we didn’t think this good…Last night, outside of simply having the world’s two most popular rappers, the crowd (which supposedly included LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Ed Westwick, Tiki Barber and Aziz Ansari) also got to see 50 Cent, Chris Martin of Coldplay, D12, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Drake and, of course, Beyonce. No Alicia Keys, though.
So, yeah, expectations are high for tonight’s show. I don’t know how it can top last night’s performance—but people are frantically looking on Craigslist for tickets. Just type in “Eminem” and you’ll see nearly 250 choices just since this morning. While some fools are offering $50-$75 for a ticket, others are willing to part from $200…for just one ticket. The most I’ve ever paid for a ticket is $80 (damn you, Morrissey) and I felt bad about parting with nearly $100. Then again, Jay-Z and Eminem together (plus guests) is a lot cooler than Morrissey at Webster Hall.
But be aware, there’s this:
Do not buy tickets from people for the Jay Z Eminem Show.. Fake! – $20 (Financial District)
The majority of the tickets being sold on the street are fake. Email tickets were mass printed and sold and only the first person will get in. Also, hard tickets are made to look real but are fake. I saw THOUSANDS get ripped off last night.
Request to see the receipt if you buy off someone.
