The highly-anticipated Never Let Me Go opens today, officially beginning the fall movie season (sorry, but I don’t think Resident Evil: Afterlife counts). To celebrate this, director Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo) and star/most adorable person ever Carey Mulligan will be speaking about the film tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the SoHo Apple Store (103 Prince St.).

And hey, since Carey’s in town (and will presumably continue to be until the release of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps on September 24), maybe she’ll be a surprise guest at the Belle & Sebastian show on September 30. She does sing in their new song, “Write About Love,” after all. Just call it Encore and the Dream of Carey Mulligans.
