Nick Zinner is best known as the guitarist for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, otherwise known as one of the band members who isn’t Karen O, but he’s also quite the accomplished photographer. He studied photography while a student at Bard College (I’ve been in that photo lab!), and has released four collections of his work: 2001′s No Seats on the Party Car, 2003′s Slept in Beds, 2004′s I hope you are all happy now and 2010′s Please Take Me Off the Guest List. He’ll be speaking about Guest List at the Union Square Barnes & Noble with Katherine Lanpher at 7 p.m.
Considering YYY’s two best albums—Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Fever to Tell—came out in years that Zinner released a book, maybe we should expect an amazing new album this year? I’m sure it’s just that easy to write a song like “Maps.”
