If Seven Brides for Seven Brothers has taught us anything, it’s that barn dances look like a lot of fun. Tonight at the Phillip Coltoff Center, we might actually be able to get our Bill Bailey on at the semi-annual New York City Barn Dance. At this “raucous hoedown,” there will be dancing instructions from Dave Harvey, if you need them; otherwise, feel free to Georgia Rang Tang all night long, or at least until 11 p.m. when the event closes for the evening. There will also be beer and wine to get you going, and fiddle tunes to keep you going.

Just please, no “Hoedown Throwdown.”

The New York City Barn Dance is tonight, Sept. 24, from 7-11 p.m. More info, including how much tickets cost, can be found here.
