Held annually in NYC, Horizons is a conference about psychedelics with a goal of opening a “fresh dialogue on their role in medicine, culture, history, spirituality and creativity,” according to Horizons’ website. Held mainly in the Judson Memorial Church in Greenwich Village, the non-profit conference includes book readings, panels and fundraiser parties from Sept. 24-26.

And lest you think it’s going to be a bunch of Phish fans talking about the wonders of LSD, know that many of the weekend’s speakers are doctors, including Rick Strassman, M.D., whose event is called “Old Testament Prophecy: A Western Model of the Psychedelic Experience.” So, yeah, no mention of Rift here.
