Since 1955, Al Jaffee has been a regular contributor to MAD, the world’s most influential humor magazine. He’s inspired literally hundreds of cartoonists and comedians–including Stephen Colbert, Charles Schultz and Arnold Roth—and even created MAD‘s most famous feature, the Fold-In, which inspired one of my favorite Simpsons jokes (“…the Almighty Ollar?”). In fact, you can do an entire post just on the ways Jaffee and MAD have inspired The Simpsons.
Tonight, Jaffee will speak about his more than five decades working for MAD at Borders Columbus Circle. The free event begins at 7 p.m., and for more information, please click here.
