Last night on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Arianna Huffington announced that she would provide free transportation in the form of buses from New York to Washington, D.C. on October 30 for the Rally to Restore Sanity. According to Huffington, “We have as many buses as people to fill them.” The buses will leave from SoHo on the morning of the 30th and return in the evening. More information TBA.
If you go by the Facebook event page, which is obviously the most accurate gauge of how many people are coming to something, over 173,000 indiviudals who think “shouting is annoying” are planning to restore sanity (or keep fear alive) the day before Halloween. We’ll be there, too.
