You haven’t lived until you’ve heard “Dying for It” live

The great thing about seeing the Vaselines, our favorite semi-reclusive Scottish indie band, is that even in a 90 minute show, you’re likely to hear almost every song they’ve ever released, as we did last night at Webster Hall. There have only been two full-length albums (1990′s Dum Dum and 2010′s Sex with an X) and two EPs (1987′s Son of a Gun and 1988′s Dying for It), and that’s basically it. That’s fine by us; after all, the very little they did record is pretty brilliant pop music, including “Molly’s Lips” and “Rory Rides Me Raw.” Here’s what we saw.
