In 2008, Ammon Shea wrote Reading the OED: One Man, One Year, 21,730 Pages, a book about reading the entire Oxford English Dictionary. How do you top that? You write about an even longer book: the phone book. Tonight at powerHouse Arena, Shea will discuss and read from The Phone Book: The Curious History of the Book That Everyone Uses But No One Reads, a history of that yellow brick occasionally delivered to your doorstep.
