Nocturnelle Beauty CEO Agnes Cheang witnessed her dream come true with familiar faces. The petite and demure makeup connoisseur’s excitement was evident as she popped open a celebratory champagne bottle while surrounded by her friends and family at the NB launch party at Dusk. The 25-year-old Fashion Institute of Technology alumni just opened her very own one-of-a-kind boutique at 290 Madison Ave. Encore was invited to join the party.
The brunette beauty is a cosmetic pro: she worked with makeup for over five years before deciding to launch her own line. In addition to her vast experience in cosmetics, Cheang also has her own clothing line, which features funky ballerina-styled skirts to iridescent pageant gowns. Her recently opened boutique merges all her passions into one unique brand. Nocturnelle Beauty is not only a makeup boutique, it’s also a place where shoppers can score incomparable dresses and get their hair done. Consider it a one-stop shop destination for prom, weddings or even girl’s night out.
As the celebration came to a close, Cheang, wearing a body-hugging mini and very sparkly Betsey Johnson shoes, took the floor and began to speak. “Nocturnelle Beauty,” she said, “evokes the inner beauty in every woman to emerge and embrace her alter ego. Nocturnelle Beauty is all about bringing out someone totally different when the night becomes your playground. It’s an exclusive makeup line created for you that will transform your everyday boring to a Nocturnelle Beauty.” She then continued with a makeup demonstration, transforming a plain 9-5 job look to a sassy and fierce evening look.
While the Nocturnelle Beauty line explodes with many amazing eye shadow options, the brush set (which comes in great packaging with every brush you’ll ever need) and mineral foundation really stood out to me.
