When was the last time you saw someone holding a boombox? Someone who wasn’t ironically mocking the “In Your Eyes” scene from Say Anything, that is? It’s been awhile, so it seems about time they we pay tribute to our fallen ghetto blasters, which is what photographer Lyle Owerko has done. From now until Dec. 5, you can check out Owerko’s photo series of vintage boomboxes at Clic Gallery. It coincidences with the release of his book, The Boombox Project, with an introduction by Spike Lee.
