You’ve seen the trailer for The Black Swan by now. If not, watch this. Messed up, yeah? What’s going on to Padmé, I mean, Natalie Portman? Is she turning into a swan?!? Nope, I think she has bedbugs. Here’s why: according to the Wall Street Journal, there was recently a bedbug infestation in one of the Lincoln Center dressing rooms. The mischievous little devils were found only a day after Lincoln Center hosted a black tie gala, which Jake Gyllenhaal and Sarah Jessica Parker were both present for. Know who else was there? Natalie Portman.
So, let’s see: Natalie Portman; Lincoln Center, home of some of the world’s finest ballet; The Black Swan, set in New York, coming out in December. The final twist of Black Swan is either she’s turning into a bedbug, Kafka-style, or she’s been infected by bedbugs, making the film more topical than anyone could have imagined.
