James Franco Reads From His Short Story Collection
Making thousands of graduate students jealous

The one and only James Franco, who makes even the most boring of films (see: Flyboys) at least slightly interesting, is too talented for his own good. The number of schools he’s a student for has been well-documented, and short stories that he wrote for his classes have appeared in Esquire and McSweeney’s. We’d hate him, if he wasn’t so damn likable.
Tonight at 8 p.m., Franco will read selections from his short story collection, Palo Alto, at Barnes & Noble TriBeCa. Queue the sighing of thousands of women—and thousands of men.
