Are you excited for Halloween? We are, and throughout this week, we’ll have a different horror film-themed post. Today: think of any successful horror film. I’ll bet the movie you’re thinking of has a sequel, likely followed by another and another and, etc. Even The Birds had The Birds II: Land’s End (made for TV, thankfully). In honor of the $42 million dollar grossing Paranormal Activity 2, here’s how long it took after the original for the sequel to be released.

Three notes:

1. We only picked sequels with “Part II” or something similar in their title, excluding films like Dracula’s Daughter and Bride of Frankenstein.

2. We also didn’t include Look What’s Happened to Rosemary’s Baby, the sequel to the greatest horror film of all-time, Rosemary’s Baby, because of the Part II thing but also because it’s a TV movie. And a piece of shit.

3. No one should make a sequel to The Faculty. Ever.
