Now that CMJ is over, we’re back to our regularly scheduled program, with the seven shows you NEED to see this week.
Monday, October 25
Felabration 2010: A Tribute to Fela
Knitting Factory, 8 p.m.

A tribute to the afrobeat pioneer, with performances from Kevin Mambo, star of FELA! on Broadway; Malik Yoba; and DJs from the Fela Undustrial Complex. $10-$12
Tuesday, October 26
The Corin Tucker Band
Bowery Ballroom, 8 p.m.

Until the inevitable Sleater-Kinney, we’ll have to settle for Corin Tucker’s solo project. Settling has never sounded so good, though. $19.40
Wednesday, October 27
Matt & Kim
Webster Hall, 7 p.m.

Encore guarantees this will be the sexiest, sweatiest, most fun show in New York City tonight. Think they could run naked from Union Square to Times Square? $17
Thursday, October 28
Petty Fest 2010
Bowery Ballroom, 8 p.m.

Adam Green, Norah Jones, Will Forte, Jason Sudekis, the Strokes’ Nikolai Fraiture, Fountains of Wayne’s Jody Porter and tons more wish Tom Petty a happy 60th birthday by playing just some of his finest radio hits. If they played all of them, it’d be a 17-hour concert. $20
Friday, October 29
OK Go
Terminal 5, 8 p.m.

At the very least, you know you’re going to see something cool. I know I’d pay $30 to see them recreate their Rude Goldberg-inspired music video for “This Too Shall Pass.” $29.80
Saturday, October 30
Devo, the Drums, Neon Trees
Hammerstein Ballroom, 8 p.m.

The Drums put on our favorite CMJ show, Devo is, well, Devo and…actually, I don’t know much about Neon Trees, but if they’re on the same bill as Devo and the Drums, they’re worth a listen *This is use going to YouTube and Wikipedia to find out more about the band* Turns out they do a pretty fun mashup of Justin Bieber’s “Baby” with “Stand by Me.” I will never grow tired of rock bands performing pop hits. Richard Thompson’s “Oops…I Did It Again” is pure brilliance. $55.35
Sunday, October 31
Who sees a concert on Halloween? Go trick or treat, or something.
