Over at Notes and Errata, a Tumblr blog actually worth reading, author Joe Veix put together a list of every pun store name on the avenues of Alphabet City. One of the article’s hashtag is “#waste of time,” but I actually think this post is everything that’s right about the Internet. Ultimately useless, yes, but incredibly amusing.

Here are his findings:

Avenue A
-A Pizza

Avenue B
-Bee Wine & Liquors
-B-Side
-B Cup
-Rue B
-Tokyo ReBel
(All of them on Avenue B, between 10th and 14th.)

Avenue C
-None

Avenue D
-None

His conclusion: “Not nearly as many pun store names as originally expected. Walking up and down each block was, more or less, a complete waste of time.”
