Canaille, which opened in early October, is a small bistro serving classic French cuisine including French onion soup, salmon tartare, steak frites, moules frites, braised short ribs and, of course, soups and plats du jour. Canaille has a full liquor license and features organic wines from upcoming regions in the south of France. With cushioned banquettes, a small chandelier, low lighting, contemporary French music, this newly opened bistro already has satisfied diners returning. Its warm and pleasant atmosphere is enhanced by the personalized service provided by owners, wine expert Philippe de Crespi and Emmy Award winning ABC News producer Marie Maclean. Canaille serves dinner at 5:30pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Closed on Mondays.
